Recently Cargo — the all-in-one platform to buy, sell, and create NFTs on Ethereum — helped Polyient Games, an ecosystem that is changing the way gamers and investors interact with non-fungible tokens, sell 20,000 NFTs in their PGFK sale. This was a historic sale because of the amount of the NFTs sold in such a short amount of time (over $3M in several days), the first large-scale NFT sale of it’s kind, and the technology utilized to make this sale possible.

Each of the 20,000 NFTs are unique dynamic, digital assets on the Ethereum blockchain, created using Cargo. The Ethereum transaction fee to create 20,000 NFTs using Cargo’s NFT technology would be around $8 when gas prices are 50 GWEI. Using standard methods for creating NFTs, even when gas costs low, would still cost thousands of dollars to create this many NFTs. Cargo NFTs utilize ERC-721 and ERC-2309 to support cross platform interoperability and is the only platform on Ethereum that can offer this kind of scalability.

Cargo provides the tools for the scalable minting, selling and tracking of infinitely large amounts of NFTs.

Large-scale NFT Sales are the Future

Up until now tokens sold in ICOs have been ERC-20 tokens, interchangeable tokens where one is exactly the same as another. NFTs (non-fungible tokens) on the other hand are each unique with an independent record of provenance. Due to the difficulty creating unique NFTs at scale, they have not been utilized for large scale sales. Cargo changes that. The PGFK sale is a prime example of innovation of thought and scalability in the NFT space. While PGFKs by nature resemble a semi-fungible token they are still unique and each is dynamic. The PGFK sale is used as an example of what is possible with Cargo and a sale can be completed where each NFT is completely different than the last.

The Last NFTs You Will Ever Create

Cargo provides a mechanism by which you can mint all the NFTs you will ever need up front. If you are building a game on Ethereum you can create all your in-game items in one transaction and distribute them when you are ready to use them. Perhaps you intend to build a game which utilizes digital land. Each piece of land can be created up front, or during the time of sale. This amounts to substantial cost savings over the lifetime of your project.

In Closing

If you are a creator looking for scalable NFT minting on Ethereum, Cargo can help you with a custom solution to integrate scalable NFT technology into your platform.
