Hulu has been on the rise in recent times, providing two new and exciting deals for its growing user base. Many streaming services are rising in price, causing people to cancel their plans to watch their favorite shows, and missing out on some well-deserved relaxation time.

Hulu has offered a deal to students who are currently using Spotify Premium. Spotify provides a discount to active/enrolled students. Spotify’s $10 monthly rate is sliced in half to just $5 for students a month. But how does this tie in with Hulu? Hulu has now paired up with Spotify to include not only unlimited ad-less music streaming, but a subscription to Hulu so students can tune in on their favorite shows away from home, or when midterms get a little tough.

Alongside this amazing deal, Hulu has dropped its monthly rates for users who are not students as well. Going from $7.99 to $5.99 saves you a whole two dollars, and that can really add up over time.

But not everything is as great as it seems. The new price comes with a catch. The subscription price is for ad-included streaming, and it only lasts a year. After your year is up, the price will return to the $7.99 monthly rate, so you better keep it on your calendar before you wake up to a bigger charge one year from now.

Users who have cancelled in the past are eligible for this plan and will be allowed to sign up through Jan 9. Don’t miss your chance to get a great deal for a year, make sure to reach that deadline.

Hulu is really competing with it’s biggest competitor, Netflix, who had just announced that their rates are increasing in the next coming months.
