Christmas Fun Facts
* Christmas hasn’t always been December 25th. There’s no mention of December 25 in the Bible and many historians say Jesus was really born in the spring.
*We can thank the Dutch for introducing the idea of leaving cookies and milk for Santa. Dutch children would leave him food and and drinks in exchange of gifts overnight.
* Before Coca-Cola used Santa’s images for advertising purposes, his looks appeared more grim than jolly.
* Decorating on Christmas is more tedious than you think. On average, every year there’s around 15,000 people that get sent to the ER either from light complications, or falling related incidents.
* “Jingle Bells”, the song, was actually a Thanksgiving song instead of Christmas. James Lord Pierpont composed a song called “One Horse Open Sleigh” for his church’s concert on Thanksgiving in the mid 1800s.
