March 2nd is World Teen Mental Wellness Day, where we bring awareness to the mental illnesses teenagers deal with daily.

Some Common mental illnesses teenagers have are anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

Here are some definitions of these illnesses, according to MYTEAM.org:

Anxiety is a nervous disorder characterized by a state of excessive uneasiness and apprehension, typically with compulsive behavior or panic attacks.

Depression is a mental condition characterized by feelings of severe despondency and dejection, typically also with feelings of inadequacy and guilt, often accompanied by lack of energy and disturbance of appetite and sleep.

ADHD is a brain disorder that affects how you pay attention, sit still, and control your behavior.

If you are feeling these symptoms, please seek help from a trusted adult. Remember you are not alone, there’s always someone else in the world going through a similar problem as yours. Be the one who gets up and asks for help.

Please, if you do not feel okay call (717) 273-5781. This number is a phone call to the Mental Health Providers in Lebanon. If needed, read more about this company at https://www.acschools.org/cms/lib/PA01916405/Centricity/Domain/412/Lebanon%20Co.%20Provider%20Directory.pdf
