With summer around the corner, it’s time to sign up for the LHS Marching Band! Don’t want to do a sport, but you want to stay involved at school? Marching band is for you.

The band is looking for students who are interested in learning cool music, performing at football games, marching in parades, and performing in school events. Anyone is welcome to join, even if you have zero experience. If you don’t want to play a instrument, but still are interested, there is also the color guard! The staff is more than willing to help you learn what you need to know and is also happy to work with your schedule if you’re already involved in school activities!

Joining marching band creates so many opportunities for students and gives you the opportunity to make many lasting bonds. Even though you may get some sunburn over the summer and be sore as you learn drill, you won’t regret it for a second. Along with bonding with fellow Cedars, you can also meet people from different schools and it’s so much fun! It might be difficult to learn the music and marching but that’s how it is with everything; take a look at the video above to see what some current and graduating members of the band have to say about their experiences!
