On November 4th, people celebrate National Chicken Lady Day. Why is this day so special?

First, it’s important to understand the history behind a special person that is honored on this day.

The origins began in 2001. At this point in her life, a lady by the name of Dr. Marthenia “Tina” Dupree became a great representation of what many communities need: support. She is honored for improving education, lending training and certification to speakers, authors, consultants, religious leaders, and trainers. This surfaced business opportunities, raising standards in her community. Dr. Marthenia worked hard to support those around her; this was a great trait since she was also an excellent public speaker.

What do chickens have to do with any of this? Dr. Dupreeworked for one of the world’s largest chicken restaurants for more than a decade, getting the name “The Chicken Lady”. She later left her position and started the Motivation Training Centre, which later led her into the realm of education.

Celebrate this day by appreciating someone who helps the community, and give them some chicken too!
