Money20/20 Europe: Day 3 Briefing
The curtains drew to a close at this years Money20/20 Europe but before we bid farewell, here are your Day 3 Highlights:
- Tram Anh Nguyen delivered her talk on “Skills in an AI world” where she shared her views that soft skills need to be a top priority for professionals to adapt.
She then went on to chair the Entrepreneur track:
- How to leverage your media relationship
- Key takeaway: Understand what a journalist does, when he does it and what he needs. Simple rules that can be applied to all business relationships
- How to ensure your marketing is remarkable
- Familiarity & originality
- Make sure to control your relationship with VC
- Yes, the number of funds is growing. No, you shouldn’t look for more money.
- Don’t reach out to your VC for every hiccup but don’t flag issues once is too late.
- The route to enhance your luck
2. Lemonade’s Chief behavioural officer Dan Ariely gave one of the best talks of the event as he explained how they are reinventing the insurance value chain. He analysed some of the economic laws that lead to lack of trust between parties and Lemonades innovative solution: adding charities to balance the equation and build trust.
3. There was a series of talks on “The Big Top” main stage that explored the huge impact of the Chinese tech giants in Asia and their appetite for growth globally. — Alipay’s li wang defined the company as a problem solver not a tech, finance or payment company — Ashley Guo from Tencent talked about bringing WeChat’s QR code success to the entire globe and scaling facial recognition in the process
4. Startup Final pitch: Grandhood’s Nordic team won the pitch battle for their solution of creating SME pension funds with great UX and strong social engagement.
