A Romantic Weekend at the Alabama Coast Paradise Hotel

Lynn L. Alexander has given us a prompt to write about —
“Someone has slipped an envelope with your name on it under your door…”
We pulled up to the hotel entrance and were shocked at how beautiful it was. It wasn’t common for us to stay at such a fancy place but it was our 40th wedding anniversary and we wanted to go big.
It was beautiful inside. The lobby was immaculate with leather recliners, a romantic fireplace, and even a small library of books in the corner. I looked up and saw the most magnificent crystal chandelier dangling from the high ceiling.
An attentive bellboy grabbed our bags and showed us to our room on the top floor. There were fancy chocolates on the pillows and the hand towels were folded into cute little animals. To top it all off there were a dozen red roses and a bottle of chilled champagne on the small round table with a special handwritten note that simply said, “Happy Anniversary.”
