On March 30, 2022, I answered a writing prompt and told the world ten things readers may have wanted to know about me. What I shared was a crap shoot with little rhyme or reason. Since then, I’ve revealed more about myself through multiple “Ten random questions” from various writers.

Today, I asked myself, is there anything about me people still don’t know?

Once you’ve lived over sixty years, many stories remain to tell, so I’m prompting myself.

Here we go!

  1. Unless it’s a stir fry, I don’t mix my food. I’m sure you’ve heard of people like me. Those of us who eat one food group at a time. A typical supper for me includes a piece of chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli. First, I eat the vegetables, then the chicken, and then I finish with the potatoes. I like to savour each unique flavour. I do the same with my dessert, eating one sweet at a time.

2. I have difficulty distinguishing TV fiction from reality. This became most apparent to me recently when I recognized how invested I was in the problems my favourite soap opera characters faced. These issues weighed heavily on me. It was bad enough that these problems weren’t…
