THE CHALLENGED
Birds, Books and Beyond!
Roz responds to a writing prompt
One of my writing clients just had his first story boosted, I just applied to receive Social Security benefits, and Kamala Harris is on her way to becoming this nation’s first Black Woman president!
To celebrate, I’m answering a writing prompt by the Queen of Writing Prompts, Lynn L. Alexander:
What is your favorite bird?
The ringneck dove. We kept doves for over a decade. They are lovely, low-maintenance pets. As long as you only own one or two. My cousin Jane married a magician, and he brought a dozen doves to the marriage. But that’s another story:
Do you pay your bills online or by mail?
I pay my bills by phone while walking on the tread mill. If there isn’t a phone number I can call to pay, I’ll resort to paying by mail. But, if you search for it, you can usually find a phone number.
What is your favorite book genre?
The Life and Crimes of Hoodie Rosen by Isaac Blum. Published by Penguin books! Funny! Moving! Award-winning! (Isaac’s next book, The Judgment of Yoyo Gold, also a Penguin Books YA novel, will be published this October.)
What is your favorite mode of transportation?
I like to walk.
I also like to fly first class.
Would it bother you if you could no longer eat pasta?
Well sure. Pasta is tasty. But I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it.
