Bridges & Walkways
Where are you heading to?
Bridges and walkways
from here to there, going somewhere and nowhere.
They’re brightly lit —
They’re as dark as a windy road in a moonless night forest.
They lead to joy,
or places where we hope we evaporate like mist in the morning sun.
They can be uphill struggles,
or downhill winding staircases taking you to life’s paradise joy moments.
What to do when you reach a bridge
where you can’t see the other end disappearing into a fog of nothingness?
Do you leap with faith,
or proceed step by tiny step, hoping the bridge won’t crumble?
Where are you heading to,
on a brightly lit walkway with an uncertain surreal fog in the distance?
