December is a month rich with winter themes and inspiration! It is special for many reasons. What makes it special to you?

Here are some great ideas to write about:

1 — Julia A. Keirns — Has it snowed where you are yet? Snow creates magical landscapes. Describe the first snow of the season and how it transforms the view from your home.

2 — Rodrigo S-C — Some love winter and its frozen beauty, and others would skip the whole season if they could. Where do you stand on the winter spectrum? Love it or hate it?

3 — Laney Mills — When I think of December, I see frosty windows reflecting a candle’s warm glow, etched windows with hanging wreaths, cedar garlands with bows draped up the stairs, cranberries, popcorn garland draped on trees for the birds, home built snowmen, and crackling fires. What do you see?

4 — Kelly Corinne Elliott — People don’t celebrate the same holidays, and/or celebrate the holidays differently. (For example, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas) Winter traditions vary around the world. Explore how different cultures celebrate and write about one of them.
