Alan AJ asks, “If you could make a new law, what would it be, and what would be the penalty for breaking it?”

This is easy to name but harder to implement. The new law would be, “No grumpy people are allowed to leave their home until they’ve shifted their mood.” I don’t care if that means the world needs to manufacture more coffee. I’m tired of others infringing on my good mood and bringing others down, too.

This would be a tough law to crack down on. How often do we see culprits morph into civilized beings, when necessary, only to revert to their negativity at the first opening? Negativity breeds negativity, and I can see the initial perpetrator kicking up destructive dust, leaving others overcome with their bullshit.

It’s time for people to take accountability for themselves and show respect for others.

But here’s the problem. We can’t all be Sally Sunshine all the time, and isn’t it everyone’s responsibility to control their own reactions and triggers? Hence, they remain positive even when faced with foul moods and unacceptable behaviours.

If this is the case, then who’s truly the culprit? Is it those who left their house grumpy or those willing to take their feelings on?
