Memories of my Grammy
Going back in time
My Grammy died when I was about 8 or 9 years old. Even though I was so young, I held strong memories of her for a long time. However, with time, things became fuzzier and fuzzier.
Pictures help pull memories back together.
The beautiful thing about photos is that they can take us right back to the moment when they were taken. The emotions, sensations, smells, and sounds all seem to come sizzling right back to the forefront of our minds.

June 29:
If you could go back to an earlier time in your life to photograph an object or person, what or who would it be? What does that person or thing mean to you?
Though I do have many photos of my grammy when she was at my parent’s wedding and her big birthday celebration, I don’t have as many of the two of us together.
So, I would choose to photograph more pictures of her and the two of us together.
We were especially close because she lived with us. She had my dad in her thirties, and my dad had me in his thirties, so she was already in her 70s when I was young.
