Apologies, apologies! A little late. But there’s a saying: Better late than never! Hmm… Let’s talk about my favourite winter dish, that gives me actual winter vibes, that reminds me that winter has arrived.

So here’s the dish. It’s called “Gudla”!

Well, I clicked a picture of it when it was being cooked. My winter’s most favourite dish — “Gudla(Green Peas Curry)”!

So here’s the recipe (4 servings):

Ingredients:-

  • 200 gm shelled peas
  • 4–6 chopped green chilli
  • Salt — According to your taste
  • Cumin seeds
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped tomato
  • 4 small chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered turmeric
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon refined oil
  • For Garnishing — 2 handful coriander leaves.

Take a pan, add oil in it, and heat it over medium flame. Once the oil is sufficiently hot, add cumin seeds and fry it for 8–12 seconds. Once they begin to splutter, add the chopped onions. Saute them until they turn little pinkish.

Now, add tomato and cook for 4–5 minutes, stir it continuously. Then add green chilli, turmeric powder, coriander powder. Stir well. Add green peas and cook them for another few minutes. Now add water. After this, add salt. Stir it continuously until the gravy thickens.

When the peas are cooked properly, and gravy begins to thicken, remove the flame.

Last but not the least — For garnishing, transfer the dish into a bowl and then garnish with coriander leaves.

Hope you enjoyed!

P.S. — I read those lovely blogs of dishes. My salivary gland started functioning. And I have responded to them as well. If any story with this prompt hasn’t been read(The indication is- I would not have responded), kindly let me know in the comment section. I’d love to read it.

Stay optimistic :D !!!
