1 — Julia A. Keirns — Has it snowed where you are yet? Snow creates magical landscapes. Describe the first snow of the season and how it transforms the view from your home.

I have to admit that I love looking at snow from the inside. I don’t miss the cold, just the beauty of a fresh untouched snowy landscape. It is beautiful indeed.

Snow falls soft in the morning light,

The ground is a smooth blanket of white.

Trees wear coats of shining frost,

The world feels new, the old is lost.

A peaceful time, the earth so bright,

The first snow that comes is a lovely sight.

Here in Deep South Texas we won’t be seeing any snow this year, except for pictures posted by family and friends up north.

Since I can’t have snow without cold, I choose warmer weather instead.
