Today’s writing prompt by Anna Soldenhoff is to write a book review on one of the latest books that you’ve read.
I’ve just finished Falling Princess from the Fallen Realm Book series and began reading book two. Reading from either Medium or Kindle is my nighttime indulgence before sleep.
Princess Zosia wants to be a normal teen, doing average things a single girl would do in their first year at college before they resume their royal duties and becomes queen of a forgotten island, Australia.
Okay, not everyone gets to become a queen, but you get the drift that Zosia just wants to let loose.
Yeah, even though she tries, that never happens. She has a handsome, sexy guard, Lorcan, who she is secretly in love with, and vice versa.
This reads like a normal fantasy enemies-to-lovers romance, with all the angst, secrets, lies, and deception that come along with this genre of reading. Just the kind of stuff I love.
The book does end on a cliffhanger, with the island nation going to war and Zosia and Lorcan being separated.
I thought the first book was well-written, so I grabbed the second book last night around midnight and finished half of it by 2 AM.
If you like YA crossovers to NA, which include fantasy aspects and some heated moments, then maybe give this book a try.
