“It Will Last” High School Sweethearts Proclaim Before Going to College

CHICAGO, IL - A teenage couple today went on a “Twitter rant” about how they were going to continue their relationship in college. Tammy Jones and John Spencer, the teenage couple, then created the hashtag #LOVEWILLLAST then went viral and eventually becoming a trending topic on Twitter.
While high school couples were the primary users of the hashtag, other couples also came to use it. “The message these kids are just trying to convey is truly inspiring” Leah Jackson said. “The level of commitment they have towards each other is wonderful.” What was never mentioned as the hashtag did go viral was that the creators of the hashtag did break up. “I can’t stand that guy” Tammy Jones yelled. “I can’t believe he treated me the way he did.”
