Magical Time Lessons a Talking Clock’s Tale
A child’s journey through time
Once, a young boy named Arlo lived in a little town arranged between rolled slopes and woods that mumbled. Although splendid and curious, Arlo didn’t seem to grasp the meaning of time. When he played, daydreamed, or pondered, it was generally typical for him to forget the time. For that reason, Arlo had his toys lying to a great extent; his homework stayed incomplete and he didn’t do any house tasks by any means.
One fresh pre-winter morning, Arlo was perusing the market alongside his mother when an unusual store drew his attention. It was an old and messy store that had a ton of bizarre stuff that seemed like they had their own stories to tell. Yet instantly, a little attractive clock shielded inside the glass case fascinated Arlo. It seemed nothing like an ordinary clock; it was gleaming and golden with hand movements looking like dances and having a delicate glowing dial.
“Can we go inside, Mother?” Arlo requested with his eyes opened wide in shock.
His mother smiled and gestured. They were then entering the shop. The shopkeeper, an old man with a kind face and eyes that shimmered, invited them.
“Goodness, you’ve found my unique watch,” expressed the shopkeeper after paying heed to Arlo’s interest; this is no ordinary ticking clock, son. This talking clock is really fantastic.
Arlo’s eyes expanded even larger. A talking clock? Truly?
The shopkeeper gave a nod. Truly, yes. However, it doesn’t speak to everybody. It communicates solely with those who are ready to grasp the secrets of time.
Arlo kept up his interest in the clock. He had always been unable to keep time well, however, there was something about that particular clock that caused him to feel like he wanted to try. So, without reconsidering he asked, “Can I take it please?”.
The shopkeeper gave Arlo the clock and smiled. Time is a gift, little one; use it wisely and it will benefit you.
As Arlo set the clock on his nightstand that night, something amazing occurred. The clock’s hands started to rotate rapidly, and a delicate, cooing voice occupied the space around.
“Hello Arlo,” said the clock to him. I am Tempus, I’m the Keeper of Time. Also, I need to assist you with directions for addressing with your time better.
Arlo was impressed. “What makes time so precious?” he asked.
Tempus laughed somewhat, Arlo, time resembles the breeze. You can’t see it however you can feel its effects. Wasting it makes valuable opportunities get past you, simply like sand moves out of an hourglass.
Arlo recalled every moment he had passed up on fun things or inconveniences since he did not manage time well. He came to recognize that the better he managed his time, the more many of his cherished activities he could do.
“Show me, Tempus,” said Arlo, with all genuineness and incredible sincerity.
From that point onward, Tempus directed Arlo for the following couple of days. With the clock ticking, it would signal him to begin his homework, indicate when he expected to finish his chores finally and remind him when it was the time to take a break and enjoy some playtime. Eventually, Arlo was able to spot a difference. As far as one might be concerned, he finished his homework on time and kept his room clean. Furthermore, he got some much-needed rest on his bustling timetable going for walks in the woods or reading his favorite books.
On that particular day, he gave a wonderful message. “Just recall, Arlo, time isn’t just about getting things done. It is more about valuing the moments we have. In good time management, you make room for joyfulness, learning, and development.”
Understanding more each day, Arlo nodded. He sorted that time not intended to be dreaded or wasted but provided as a friend in realizing his desires.
As time went by and eventually into months Arlo was viewed as the most capable and disciplined kid in the village. He would continuously be accessible to help a friend, acquire knowledge, or essentially value the beauty that encompassed him.
The last time Tempus spoke to Arlo was that night when he was tucked away in his bed. Nicely learned, Arlo. I see you have understood the mystery of time and its good usage. I am finished with this.
With a feeling of achievement, Arlo smiled. He said, Thanks Tempus; your lessons will remain in my thoughts till the end.
Then the clock hands slowed down and warmth vanished into coolness leaving a pointless power of serenity and knowledge which would remain within him eternally, Arlo thought.
That day onward Arlo knew something significant finally it was out of this world valuable; never to be wasted; but instead to be changed into life’s most beautiful moments. Whenever he looked at the old clock on the table close to his bed, he recalled what he learned from the talking clock and its priceless insight.
