Complementarity as identity.

Everyone knows the complement is a mathematical way to express identity. That is, one and not-one equal an eternally ‘conserved’ ‘pair.’ Also known as a ‘unit.’

Therefore, complementarity is the basis for identity in all systems and disciplines. Meaning, X and not-X are required for identity. This gives us a major clue to how reality is organized.

That is an ‘eternally conserved pair’ is dependent on an uber-simple (equally conserved) circle. This makes perfect sense in a digital reality since yin and yang (ancient), then, are zero and one (modern). Which gives us an ‘eternally conserved 50–50 reality.’

This takes some time to notice since we are taught, mathematically, that we live in an constantly ‘inflating’ universe. Which is why we have to adjust ‘interest’ rates in order to ‘keep up with’ or ‘keep ahead of’ (but not-too-much) inflation.

This is because we are taught to believe the number line is ‘constant.’ That is the number line, supposedly, progresses from zero to infinity (in both directions) giving us plus and minus (one).

Except, we know, by living, plus and minus one is never zero (or infinity). Instead plus and minus one is a complementary ‘pair,’ just like all the other complementary ‘pairs’ in the universe (light and dark) (hot and cold) (here and there) (now and then) (beginning and end) (etc).

We can take this to our own ‘reality.’ Meaning the ‘I’ in ‘us’ is dependent on a complementary pair (‘I’ and ‘not-I) (‘I’ and ‘other-I’). This proves pi is the basis for reality (a dimensionless coupling constant always present) (in the background) (in the foreground). Etc. Again. Always.

We learn about the abstract world in philosophy and religion. God (mind) is an invisible reality that is in control of everything. Involved in everything. The ‘invisible connection’ joining and, also, separating, everything to (and from) everything.

So, it is a very simple ‘jump’ to notice pi is the mathematical name for ‘God.’ And, also, then, ‘mind.’

Thus, any dichotomy we use to express our ‘selves’ involves a complementary pair, that does not inflate. Meaning everything changes, nothing changes, the complementary pair (circumference and diameter of a circle) is constant (and, also, the norm).

So this allows us to explain everything about everything by noticing half-of-me likes you, the other-half, not-so-much, and these are constantly in balance (they articulate the conservation of a circle) (circumference and diameter) (zero and one) (literally and figuratively) (female and male). Etc.

And this describes every noun, every verb, every conjunction, every preposition, every algorithm a human uses to experience, analyze, and engage with ‘reality.’

If zero, then one, meaning, if one, then zero, because if circumference, then diameter (is conserved).

You get this. Easily. You need ‘two’ for ‘one.’ And, always, vice versa.

This means you can depend on 50–50 everything to get you ‘through’ reality.

Conservation of the circle is the core dynamic in nature.
