The (Real) Explanation for Consciousness
X, not-Y, means Y, not-X.

X, not-Y, means Y, not-X. This is the explanation for consciousness. In technological terms, if X, then Y, meaning, if Y, then X.

Therefore, zero and one, as circumference and diameter, articulate consciousness. Where consciousness is another word for attention. Where we can give our attention to one out-of two, or two out-of one.

There is a literal confusion between a one and a two. That’s where circumference and diameter step in. Zero is circumference. One is diameter. (Or, vice versa.) From a circular point of view, you cannot have one without the other, so, both are, in fact, meaningless.

They give each other meaning (to a human). This means a human is, most basically, a circle. Conscious shares a circle with unconscious, subconscious, super-conscious, supra-conscious, other-conscious. Half-conscious would be the correct description for conscious (human, and other).

You cannot have X without Y, because zero and one (X and Y) articulate, and, must conserve, a circle. So, self-conscious describes everyone (and every thing). Complementarity is the basis for identity (consciousness).

Or, taken more literally, ‘pi’ is the dimensionless ‘coupling’ constant, always in the background, separating, and joining, any X and-or Y, explaining the circular relationship between (what a human labels) ‘mind’ and ‘matter.’
Conservation of the circle is the core dynamic in nature.
