The Signal Experiment
Red and green (vs) red and green and yellow.
A simple circle runs the whole ‘universe’ and it looks like this:
This allows us to do the ‘signal’ experiment. Visualize the ‘universe’ as a ‘signal.’ Red and green.
Allowing us to ‘visualize’ the ‘universe’ as red, green, yellow.
So, we don’t need ‘yellow’ signals, anymore, because a ‘video’ camera can tell, precisely, whether, or not, you were (are) in the ‘intersection,’ at a particular ‘place’ and time.’
Imagine, to yourself, for your ‘self,’ the ‘difference’ in ‘traffic’ patterns, if all of the ‘signals’ were changed from ‘red-yellow-green’ to ‘red-green.’ Based on ‘video’ ‘surveillance.’ What would it do to your own ‘driving’ pattern, and, ‘why?’
Would it make you more ‘liberal’ or ‘conservative?’
You have to ‘answer’ this for your ‘self.’ Though in our ‘digital’ reality, we can ‘analyze it, for you.’ (We can ‘answer’ it for you.)
Taking us to the ‘heart’ of all ‘decision-making:’
And, that’s all there is to ‘signalling’ behavior.
Signal as a noun. And signal as a verb.

Conservation of the circle is the core dynamic (signal) in Nature.
