Cities are fascinating. So are towns, suburbs, and other human settlements. I’ll use the word cities for shorthand.

This publication will share stories and images of great buildings, public spaces, and everything else about cities. It will cover how cities interact with sports, entertainment, politics, and everything else. A lot of the content will come from places I have visited across the world, in particularly the photography displayed here.

About Me

My name is Alex. My interest in cities was planted during frequent trips growing up to the dynamic city of Montreal, and occasional visits to other major cities across North America. I was raised and presently live in the fast growing city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and I have seen it follow (for better and worse) the trends in urbanism over that time. I first read ‘The Death and Life of American Cities’ when I was 15, and have been keenly interested in urban issues ever since. I am a lapsed blogger; you can read my previous work on cities here.
