After over 9 months of travel, it was hard to believe we’d arrived at the last month of our year of travel. With two more countries to go, we arrived at another spot that was on the top of our list, and the type of place that we never thought we’d get to witness with our own eyes — Switzerland.

It was a long flight from Tokyo to Geneva, and once we landed, it took one train and two buses to scoot our way up into the mountains to our chalet, located in the south of Switzerland, near the Italian border.

The air was cool, and our little village of Ayer was rather remote, but as soon as we stepped off that bus, we couldn’t believe our eyes.
