-You can now share Snapchat Stories via link, opening a window into the app’s walled, ephemeral garden. The shared Stories will still disappear after some amount of time — from 24 hours to 30 days. This change creates an on-ramp for new users to learn what the notoriously confusing app is all about, an important step as revenue continues to disappoint.

-BuzzFeed found the news survey Facebook is using to rate the trustworthiness of publishers and decide who gets precedence in the News Feed. It only has two questions: “Do you recognize the following websites?” and “How much do you trust each of these domains?”

-Bleacher Report, looking for new revenue, “is hiring dedicated teams for commerce and content licensing,” according to Digiday. Their efforts center around original video series and merchandise. An interesting tidbit: “Bleacher Report revenue grew 17 percent year over year in 2017, according to Brown, who wouldn’t give a hard number but said the company was profitable. Ad sales on its social media accounts, which include custom branded video and sponsorships, contributed about a third of total direct revenues, said a company spokesperson.”

-Funny or Die laid off an undisclosed number of workers, the company’s second round of layoffs in two years. The reason, from CEO Mike Farah: “Like a lot of other digital media companies, we’re facing tough challenges that we can no longer ignore, and so we must adapt.”
