Journey in Uniting the Pharmacy World: Week 2

Patience is virtue.

This was definitely a tougher week. The excitement of planting the seeds has passed. What’s left now is a lot of watering and even more patience. I’ve continued to reach out to writers and content creators with much success. I’ve also expanded my cross-posting to bigger sites like LinkedIn and Reddit as per multiple students’ recommendations.

I was also recommended to try posting on my own platform rather than Medium. To transition, I’ll be posting on both platforms with different content. This will require me to spend double the time creating content which makes it even more important that I delegate the social media aspect to the committee I am forming. As mentioned in Week 1 of the Journey in Uniting the Pharmacy World, I’ve begun accepting applications for the committee. I’ve outsourced the recruiting process primarily to an organization specializing in staffing. I spent an evening creating the application papers and contracts; hopefully, that is time well spent.

The coming weeks will still be a mixture of team building and content creation. Watering the plant. Eventually it will catch the eyes of the people who care. I expect this process to take a couple years before enough proactive pharmacy staff populate the platform. It will be worth it.
