Welcome to the second edition of MMC’s new segment, Shroom Tank recaps!
This is where I take a bit of a deep dive into the projects that came onto this week’s Shroom tank. I’ll try and lay everything out for you as simply and to the point as possible….bear with me though sometimes I do indeed waffle.

I’m Lucid dreamer some of you guys may have seen me around in the general chat or MMC general chat or in any other number of discords I’m busy investigation 😉. This week’s Shroom tank featured some incredibly interesting projects and for those of you who missed it the recording can be found in the shroom tanks recap section.So without further ado here we go.
JPunksNFT:
Made by a team based in London I bring to you a 3D metaverse project built out on the UNREAL engine ✅.

You’ll find a pretty cool bio, this immediately caught my attention. As you scroll down, you’ll find some pretty neat and very high-quality marketing materials, these have been made with the actual NFT’s and within the UNREAL engine itself. Really encourage you to check their page!
This is a big green flag ✅ because the product is ready off the bat rather than the money from the mint process acting as seed money for the project to get started.

You’ll find a whopping 46k members.
The team have a motion capture studio in London and are planning to run fashion shows in the metaverse using the 3D avatar NFT’s they will be selling, with an eye on big brands who they are hoping will take them on board to design their clothes and run them on the UNREAL engine within the Metaverse.
The more I dig into this project the better it becomes, here’s some pertinent information:
1. Max supply — 7,777
2. Mint date and mint price — TBD (probably on the higher side based on the amount of utility and higher premiums normally attached to the 3D models)
3. Get Whitelisted — Active in the chat or send 30 invites out. Gosh that’s a lot of invites, only 250 spots available in this manner so I assume there will be more challenges you can complete to get yourself whitelisted.
4. 3D models — all holders will get 3D models of their NFT and the team will invest in resources that will help people create their own content.
5. 2nd collection — All holders will get a second NFT of a female raptor.
Concerns/Comments:
I mean sure, some big brands will put their clothes onto these big green fellas and have them strut their stuff but realistically the demand for that may be a little far out.
And when it does come, I probably would prefer to see the design on an actual person. Then again looking at the other side I would probably buy a piece of clothing if it was modelled on a bored ape.
So, I suppose if the collection can reach an iconic status this may play out. The teams’ skills seem pretty stacked (check out their meet-the-team section in the discord), and this project and its underlying technology and concept could blow up, I definitely think it’s something to watch and its something I would personally mint.

Homies in Dreamland:
Quick disclaimer guys, by the time this article comes out this project will most likely already have minted 🙇🏽♂️……yeah sorry bout that. Guess you can pick one up on the secondary market .
A Project backed by Cheech and Chong (Twitter @cheechandchong, in case you have no idea who they are)✅, both founders are pretty into their art with Cheech looking to open an art gallery in May 2022, Riverside, California. In terms of utility the collection will give tokens that give access to video calls to Cheech and Chong, signed posters posters and other cool merchandise. Holders will also get access to live events ✅ that are being planned with so far one in the works for this year

Concerns/Comments:
I guess the main concern really is that is this another celebrity cash grab?
I mean they seem to be involved to a certain extent bringing having done 5+ AMA’s and the art itself looks pretty cool but I got the feeling that some of the utility is kind of up in the air and there’s nothing solid that has been planned. They weren’t the ones who came on today for the Shroom tank either, I guess maybe the expression “bigger fish” comes to mind but then is the passion really there?
Another thing, like realistically how many calls can Cheech and Chong do. Not 10,000 that’s for sure, that would equate to 70 days of non stop talking for just 10 mins per person, so my question is how are these calls going to be distributed.
Having said that the art is pretty cool so where the project will be in the next few months is anyone’s guess although most of the elder shrooms did express an interest in minting the project.
Louz:
This is focusing on a 3D woman avatar. Now if you watched the Shroom tank episode you’ll know that the person presenting for Louz was pretty straight up and blunt. This project is trying to lean into the “Women Meta” that we have seen playing out. This meta may however be running out of steam although certain projects which may blend metas such as “Killer GF” which blended the Women and Asian meta are still doing well. Perhaps the 3D element of the project will help push its sale. The art does however speak for itself. If you’re interested in any of their stuff check this out:

2. Mint date — 25th Feb (whiteliste) and 27th Feb (Public)
3. Mint price — 0.1 eth — bit pricier than standard but I guess the 3D demands extra.
4. Get Whitelisted — usual stuff really, meme and art comps, community participation, reaching level 20 and sending 5 invites.

6. Pseudo — Celebrity Endorsement — If any of you like the NBA Sarah Patterson (Patrick Patterson’s wife is supporting the project), I’m not sure exactly how much value that will bring if any but hey ho, there you go.
7. The Founders are all fully doxed
8. They have a game coming out which will be similar to temple run — the trailer should be out in a few days
9. A 2nd NFT will be released in 2–3 months, and they are looking to release a token soon after the public sale.
Concerns/Comments:
The celebrity endorsement may catch the eye of other big influencers in the space such as GaryVee who may pump your bags if you buy this NFT. This is however speculation and shouldn’t be relied upon. I’m not sure this project is bringing anything new to the table and the roadmap is kind of wishy washy. If youre really into the art hey why not? I Personally don’t think I would mint one.
