Autumn Winds

From a seed, it grows,
Into a beauty I know
Unexpected, special

Summer’s last wind blows
Fighting hard, she tightly holds,
Eyes shut, heart opened

But all dreams must end
And from her slumber, she wakes
Beside her no more, now

The winds colder, changed
A void, a silence, a blank space
But strong she must be

And strong she will be.
For September winds have come,
And lost is Summer.
