Disaster

I have been filling myself with anger
The general state of affairs and the dangerous turn we seem to have taken

I have been stuck inside for far too long
no connection with the outside world
the real world, is there anything real
I see the outside through digital screens
who knows if the screens are telling the truth

What if everything we see, read and hear through these screens
is an act, a show put up to fool me
into thinking
that outside a world exists
and that world is on the precipice of disaster

Who is to tell what is the truth
may be the world ended last year
and all we have left are the screens
