Facing Fear
Fear is a funny thing.
I’m not talking about the fear that keeps children awake in the middle of the night, afraid of what lurks beneath their bed.
I’m talking about the fear that leaves people wishing they had taken more risks in their youth.
The fear of not being comfortable.
Being comfortable can make one complacent. It can also stifle any courage that is necessary to make seemingly hard decisions.
Sometimes I wonder what my life would have been if I had been afraid more, given into to my fear. Sometimes I wonder what my life would look like if I were less afraid.
What would I do?
Where would I go?
Hell, how would I even look?
To what extent do I let fear control my life?
One of the things that most people end up regretting later on in life is not taking risks.
I am going to redirect my fear and channel it into making me afraid of NOT taking risks.
