The Future of AI
I am currently assuming that AI will be instrumental in enabling the actual creation of material objects that can be printed out. This is the basis of my asumption that basic income is around the corner along with car-free cyber-communities and a world beyond the one out there now. It’s moving from the small to the large. My ongoing fictional iteration: http://buff.ly/1BMfkqk
Among the propositions I am considering:
That machines will ultimately have truly human aspects including death.
That omniscience and omnipotence as generally understood will be seen as human attributes.
And that the biggest events of the future will result from the transition of AI to being less a machine and more a capacity by which the world can avoid predictable catastrophes resulting from human short-sightedness.
