Invisible chain

Hit it. Send. You can’t stop now.
Single tick. Two grey ticks. Turned blue.
Lifting the heavy weight of the deafening chains
of morality you took a lifetime to piece.
Click. Shoot. Post. You can’t resist.
The temptation becomes the axe that breaks the metal.
It’s up now. Your bare soul
for the sordid eyes behind screens.
Where you see innocence, they see vulnerability.
Where you see class, they see flesh.
You think you’re so free?
A slave to a new tight invisible web.
Validation? Attention? At a cost.
Entwining yourself in a new chain.
Subliminal as at is.
This one can’t be rammed off with a blow.
