(Just One Sentence) Week 1: Truth

Earlier this week, I published a story that introduced Just One Stroke. Just One Stroke is a project of mine that aims to inspire the creative ability of a community by helping them start small: each individual contributes just a single brushstroke to a community painting. If you’d like, you may read more about that project here.
After publishing that story, the editors of this publication asked me to run a similar experiment to help people in this community begin writing. So — each week, I will offer a (hopefully) thought-provoking writing prompt. Your job is to write a response that is just one sentence long. (Of course, if you feel inspired, you may go on to write longer stories about these prompts. The key is just to get started.)
Ready to start? I’ll kick off this experiment with one of my favorite questions, made famous by Peter Thiel…
