Millions of years in a blink

It makes me forget about the world to think of the stars. How some of them are a million light years away and some just one. Some of them are dead while some are being born. Our eyes are experiencing it all at once. A million years in the past and a thousand. Births and deaths and light from before we came to this earth. Some before this earth was. In one blink you’re getting an art piece of the universe's history patch worked into constellations. Sometimes I wonder if I was once one of those stars before I came here, and I’m just now seeing just how bright I was. That’s the sad part about life. You never know what you are until you’re looking at who you were.
