Repentance is the best of words
but we do not believe it
Better think we do no harm
and retreat to our snail shell
Help us to know right and wrong
and daily seek forgiveness
and forgive all others too
Help us clean our slate well
Ω
A simple thing like forgiveness
requires a prayer for same
lofted daily to reality
That is how we can stay free
and achieve an inner peace
and be who we’re meant to be
Ω
Why is forgiveness so big
when we’re well past religion
Because we’re still perfection bound
replete with motivation
Something in us keeps us going
in a good direction
Fallible and moving slow
