The 10K Twitter Follower Scam

I have gotten in the habit of following the folk who retweet me. I go to their profile and open up their followers. I usually limit myself to five follows. Wanna know something?

Lately the top of the followers has been so littered with Get More Followers tweets that I have finally snapped and come over here to PROTEST. Because Twitter biggies are here and SOMEONE who reads this will get this to one of those biggies and perhaps focus attention on the problem.

Of course I do not follow these 20K Twitter Followers for Sale people. I have never clicked one of their urls. And as I write, I am wondering what would happen if Twitter got rid of them all. There are times when I think that might cut far into the overall numbers.

I have tons of good and untried ideas about how to improve Twitter but I have not even managed to get my account verified after having been there from almost the beginning and acquired over 200K followers, many of them real people.

Somebody tell one of these biggies to do something about this excrescence. It is really disgusting.

Over and out.
