The self is like a spectrum high to low
To know it is to live life less confused
Worst values are the bottom best are top
That’s where we find love and freedom fused
What will make good use of power
What overcomes both hurt and harm
We are pilgrims here but for an hour
Help us move past all alarms
Ω
The freedom of the self lies deep within
the key to everything we hope to be
Freedom makes a world where all can win
because all souls are reckoned equally
Help us to choose good freedom day by day
to look inside to find its stellar power
Help us in all we do and say
to be the masters of our hour

There’s healing in a self that’s free
There’s liberty in choices that are right
There’s power in what comes from peaceful ways
Life is not life that has not freedom’s light
The self that’s free sees though the tears that fall
The self that’s free holds close to what endures
The self that’s free will lead through fire and cloud
Freedom is the source of all that cures
