I almost always tune out if the title is a how to and it is written for all presumed readers. There is never a prayer in the world that anyone will follow however many tips and instructions and hints anyone shares. Life is a bazaar. We pick and choose.
The solution is something I stumbled on here. A comment said thanks for the helpful tips. I realized she was happy about some of the content. And that she would appropriate one or two ideas in her own way.
Meta describes extraneous and unnecessary verbiage. We all produce this. But putting it into a long read is a sin against our growing capacity to do more in less time.
So my nugget is this:
Do first person, concise descriptions of what YOU do. Not what is the best for everyone. Or what we OUGHT to do. Say what you do. Quick. Let readers decide what they want to take from it. They will anyway.
