Within Each of Us Resides a World Unseen
I remember some months back, I gazed across a crowd of people at a buss stop. I couldn’t help but realise what all burden each and everyone are silently enduring. A loss hope, lack of finance, overdue bills, loss of a loved one, recent heartbreak, recently lost a job or failed but another interview…
Yet there was also the flip side of things, among them were those of euphoria. First time in love, getting your first salary, bagging a bonus, planning a vacation, going to see your family after a long time, last day of work, recently engaged, elders at peace with themselves of having fulfilled all of life’s responsibilities… etc.
That was a moment of deep reflection for me. I thought to myself, never will I see a group of people without wondering the emotions that fill them, scars they carry, or the calmness or peace of mind they’ve attained.
But then, never are we at all times in a zen moment of deep reflection.
