I’d like to try something different as the newest member of the Coffeelicious’ editorial staff. I see lots of writing pass through that can…be better. If you’d like to work with me to improve your writing, to get some tips on how things can be better, submit your story as a draft (not published), and add ‘Critical Review’ to the title. We’ll take that title off before publishing. ¶ By submitting as a draft we can work through notes on your writing. Not all of the notes I leave are absolute ‘you must do this!’ directives. How Ideal
I picked up a bouquet of flowers like I did every Sunday. This wasn’t every Sunday though. So I got a pack of Sour Patch Kids too, her…favorite. As I walked down 2nd towards my apartment, where she was, my heart palpitated through my chest. I usually noticed people passing me by; saying hello to a friendly stranger here and there, but not today. I could only focus on one thing. ¶ She moved in five weeks ago and brightened my life. She had interrupted me and my friend’s conversation in a bar on the Lower East Side about cheating in college.
