When they made a request to the TTA they knew what they were getting into: an expensive and effective way of solving their problems.

They expected a lot of personnel, lots of weapons, and surely lots of ammunition. They would probably arrive in a few hundred ships.

They waited at a location not far from what would become the field of battle in a matter of hours.

At the distance, one single ship arrived.

The ship landed and two groups of about a hundred men each quickly came out.

One of the groups was clearly comprised of soldiers; the other was staff that would remain at the base.

They set up a perimeter. Machinery was taken out of the ship and their quarters were assembled. Quarters for over a thousand people, for sure.

The locals were pleased.

In one part of the compound, they set up an array of machines: about a hundred empty booths. They plugged it into power and left them there.

And then… No other ship came.

The military group prepared to depart for battle. The commander came to meet their client:

- We are about to leave. The situation will be defused shortly.

- But… Where’s the rest of your army?

- This is it, we’re it. Now, if you’ll excuse us…

- No, this can’t be it! There’s no way a hundred man are going to cleanse the area!

- You’re not acquainted with our methods, are you? Trust me, the situation will be defused.

- Where is the rest of your army? I demand to know! You must have a larger army! You have barracks for at least a thousand men!

- Sir, with all due respect, you did not pay for an exact amount of soldiers, you paid for the situation to be defused, and that’s what is about to happen.

The commander left and walked out of the quarter. His men followed.

Then, the machines turned on.

They all flashed and made a lot of noise.

They all opened.

A soldier came out of each of them.

They moved out of the compound.

One of them was their commander… It was the same man… He smiled and waved as he walked by.

They left in a slightly different direction.

The machines buzzed again.

One after the other, the locals saw dozens of small armies leave for battle.

Shortly after, in the distance, the noise of war would be heard.

The day after, one of the groups came back and went into one of the barracks to rest.

Another came in shortly after and went into another facility.

The groups arrived separately and separate they remained, with each occupying a different building.

The day after, each of the groups, in turn, came out of the barracks and walked into the machines, disappearing.

The last group packed up the time machines and left.

All glory to the Time Travel Army.
