With time we have progressed, and the media too. We appreciate great things of the past, but there are quite a few things worth criticizing or knowing, so we can be grateful for not consuming such mediums.

Below are some vintage ads which are so shameless — yes, shameless to the extent that you may question how they were once even acceptable. Let's dig in:

1. Mr. Legg's Awful Idea

The creative department of Mr. Leggs might be high on drugs when producing such an idea. The ad above is for the dress pants from the 1950s, and it clearly reflects the awful mindset of the people who made them.

The man proudly stands over a woman's head which is fitted to a tiger-pattern rug.

If such an ad had surfaced today, then the creator would have been stoned to death. It's not only the photo of the ad which makes it unacceptable, but the copy equally supports the message.
