Miller in Hitler’s Bathtub, on the day he committed suicide

A woman with a life full of mystery and a history of being a badass. A woman, who took more than 60,000 photographs in World War II that later served as a testament to many historical events.

A woman who was asked by Vogue to be their cover girl.

A woman, who became a subject of art for Picasso, and a woman who made countless men crazy for her.

A woman, who removed her military uniform, slipped into Adolf Hitler’s bathtub on April 30, 1945 — the day he committed suicide, and also got photographed while doing so. Indeed a true badass.

She is none other than — Elizabeth Lee Miller, also known as Elizabeth Penrose (after her wedding to Roland Penrose).
