Over the years, I’ve come to the conclusion that a small chunk of the most brilliant minds of the modern era have been comedians. Now, why do I say this? I am aware that it’s a bold statement to put out there; giving such a high credit to someone within the entertainment industry.

But making people laugh, is not easy. Making people think while making them laugh, is even harder. This is where comedian George Carlin comes to mind. When I was first introduced to his comedy, I just couldn’t believe how it was even possible? He was saying some outrageous things on stage, and people were loving it. How was he able to keep his spot in the entertainment industry, and avoid any censorship?

Who was George Carlin?

George Denis Patrick Carlin was an American stand-up comedian, actor, philosopher, author, and social critic. He was of Irish heritage, born in Manhattan, New York on May 12th, 1937, and died June 22nd, 2008.
