Theme — ‘Influence of Art on History and Culture’
After receiving a terrific response in the October writing challenge, here we are again with yet another theme.
The theme for this month is ‘Influence of Art on History and Culture’.
A Bit About The Theme
Art has played a significant role in history and its evolution. Magnificent paintings, sculptures, and religious iconographies have not only been appealing to eyes but have brought powerful changes in society.
Be it, Michelangelo or Rembrandt, ancient or contemporary art, art speaks to us where words are unable to explain.
We would expect the same in the writing too. A mere description of any iconography will not work. Rather, an interesting fact or drama portrayed in that art, interpreting the symbolic meaning of that art would be encouraged and accepted.
And, if that art has left an indelible mark in history (feminism, culture, etc.) it would be the icing on the cake.
