The Collector is excited to launch September’s monthly writer challenge.

Writer’s Challenge Theme

The theme for September’s writer’s challenge is — HISTORY.

We don’t just want any history. We want history articles with a strong emphasis on any one of the topics — Racism, LGBTQ, Feminism, Art, and Culture.

Guidelines

The first rule is simple and most important. The story must create value for the reader. Other rules are as follows —

• Through and detailed analysis in the articles
• Standard formatting and styling for article
• Citation of references
• Use of relevant image with sources
• The story should be new and must not be already published elsewhere before
• Only one entry per writer is allowed

For your articles to be considered for the challenge, please send us a draft link at collector.medium@gmail.com with the subject line ‘September Writing Challenge — Submission’

Deadlines

  • September 1 — September 15: Opt-in period. Join the challenge, write the articles, and submit the drafts.
  • September 16: Challenge closed.
  • September 20: We’ll start announcing the winners and publishing winning pieces on The Collector!

Prizes

A competition is incomplete without a prize.
1. This month’s winner would get one month free subscription of Writing Pro Aid.

Writing Pro Aid helps you write better by improving your writing style. It automatically finds spelling & grammar errors while also checking for plagiarism.

2. The writer would also be featured on our ‘Featured Writer of the Month’ page and be promoted via our weekly newsletter.

3. The runner-up articles would be extensively published via our newsletter and social media.

For any other details, please email us on collector.medium@gmail.com

Let the entries begin!
