Queen Elizabeth II is the longest-reigning monarch in British history. She’s been on the throne for almost seventy years and conducted herself with honour throughout. Even those who question the role of royalty can’t deny her professionalism.

But the Queen’s little sister was different. Princess Margaret threw out the royal rulebook, and her uncivilized antics led to plenty of scandals over the years. Many did not approve of her bad behaviour, but in recent times, some have praised Margaret for being a woman who was decades ahead of her time.

Growing up, Margaret was more interested in having fun than anything else. Whilst her older sister was preparing for her future role as Queen, Margaret was enjoying a lively social life.

The young princess soon developed a taste for London's nightlife. She loved theatres, clubs, ballet, and jazz music. She even caused a bit of a scandal when she was caught smoking in a West End restaurant at the age of nineteen.
