The Tower of London is one of the world’s most iconic architectural marvel. During its 1000 year history, it has been a royal palace, fortress, prison, place of execution, menagerie, and jewel house.

But do you know that ‘ravens’ have been the traditional guards of the ancient walls of White Tower since time immemorial?

It is not very clear in history that when the ravens first came into the Tower of London but historians believe the “Tower’s raven mythology is likely to be a Victorian flight of fantasy.”

The superstition holds that “at least six ravens should reside in the palace all the time otherwise The Crown will fall and Britain with it.”
