Hello! I wanted to share with you my personal thoughts and origin of this publication (The Commit Message).

The Commit Message’s goal is to share progress being made by project authors on any product they’re trying to birth into reality. The journey is always really hard, and most of the time the story isn’t told until the author looks back. I wanted to create a venue to host stories of creation as they happen, bit by bit. I hope this would help readers follow along and see the chronological progression of how things are built.

With this chronological progression, I hope that readers can feel inspired, or see solutions to similar problems they face. I hope that authors can get feedback on their ideas and be motivated to keep an up to date personal diary of successes and failures before they’re forgotten.

Who can contribute?

Anyone working on some kind of project/product can! We’re looking for solid progress, not so much just idea pitches. We want to see you walk the walk and talk the talk.

What kind of content?

We hope to get content ranging from bite sized updates on what progress has been made to full blown stories of an eventful week filled with ups and downs. Reflecting the reality of the journey is the most important part, regardless of the format chosen by the author.

That’s all! If you like what you see, hit follow on this publication. Want to contribute? Comment below or feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @mikeshi42
