Imagine you were gifted

A ship to sail the seas

To search the world abroad

For anything you please

To the corners of the earth

You set out on you way

To capture all its beauty

And find purpose for your day

Rocks to climb

Skies to search

Waves to ride

Piers to perch

You’ve witnessed it all

On your journey afar

The addiction of adventure

Has been your North Star

A letter was sent

By a friend long ago

A neighbor stopped by

To help shovel snow

But you were long gone

Your local erased

Chasing storms of adventure

Your local defaced

The beauty and rhythm

Of community rests

In the magic of the people

Who cling closely to their nests

So be careful what you’re gifted

Or run a never ending race

Your local is where your riches lie

Your peace is in your place
